Mission

To provide a forum of interest NDIA members and government representatives to review and discuss policies and procedures in the tank/automotive area.

The ICTAP was established in March 1997 when eleven representatives from industry and nine from government accepted the invitation to become members of ICTAP. Meetings are devoted to topics of mutual interest between government and industry, and the Committee meets two or three times per year. Membership is for two years, with half of the membership changing every year.

Topics of discussion during recent meetings include Acquisition Reform-how to keep programs on track until Acquisition Reform is fully integrated; Fielding-how can we eliminate unnecessary steps, and filed new equipment more quickly; Fleet Management - what is the best approach for the Army; Best Value-the need to get the soldier on the ground involves.

The bottom line for ICTAP is to provide a forum for both government and industry to discuss topics of mutual interest, in order to strengthen the relationship between government and industry.
