Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Project
The CMMI project is a commonly accepted model used by organizations to improve business processes for development (CMMI-DEV), services (CMMI-SVC), and acquisition (CMMI-ACQ). The current version, CMMI v1.3, was released in November 2010, improving the model architecture of all three constellations, improving the high maturity process areas to reflect industry best practices, and improving informative material to reflect current engineering practices and adding guidance for the use of Agile methods.
The CMMI project is guided by the CMMI Steering Group in conjunction with the Software Engineering Institute, serving as the CMMI Steward. For further information, contact CMMI Steering Group Chair Bob Rassa (RCRassa@Raytheon.com). Additional information from the can also be found at the SEI website, http://www.sei.cmu.edu/cmmi/.
