Announcement:  An International Symposium on Manufacturing Workforce Solutions

REGISTER today for "An International Symposium on Manufacturing Workforce Solutions," hosted by The Manufacturing Institute, Alcoa Foundation, and Atlantic Council at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC on November 18, 2014.  

The symposium will bring together senior policymakers, business leaders, and educators from around the world to pool knowledge and forge partnerships in developing a skilled manufacturing workforce.


Panelists will explore how the education system, government policy, and business investment work together to create a skilled workforce. We will also discuss the special challenges facing small and medium sized enterprises.

Announcement:  NDIA Applauds Creation of Manufacturing Innovation Institutes

NDIA members will be interested to know about an ongoing initiative to create three new ‘manufacturing innovation institutes.’ Each institute is envisioned to serve as a regional hub designed to bridge the gap between basic research and product development, bringing together companies, universities and community colleges, and Federal agencies to co-invest in technology areas that encourage investment and production in the U.S.  Please click here to view the entire announcement!
